We need people like: Jack Frye, Charles Lindbergh, Jack Northrop. We need humans to be innovative team members like the GREAT GENERATION. As Lindbergh once said, “What kind of man would live where there is no daring? I don’t believe in taking foolish chances, but nothing can be accomplished without taking any chance at all.” The present "Be Safe" culture is part of OUR failures TODAY. A former Aerospace Engineer and risk taker.

If Rex's CZ really was 240 llbs at Carlsbad in 74? I'm pretty sure it was more like SEVENTY pounds heavier than Decosters factory Suzuki which were i think like 170 llbs or some ridiculous weight....that is why Joel, Roger ad Sylvain just dominated! They were suddenly given feather weight works bikes when previously super competitive on much heavier bikes like the CZ...it really was like cheating! I lusted for those Suzukis! LOL like one could EVER buy anything even close!

Michael, re-listen to my words on Baptism for remission of sins. They line up with what your conveying here. You have completely mis understood my explanation. Please edit your comments to truthfully reflect my thoughts on the video. I am a strong proponent on what God teaches about immersion in water. One is not saved until by faith they are baptized for the cleansing of sins during the faith act. Colossians 2:11-12. After which one is justified before the Godhead.

If you are correct when you say that baptism is not necessary for remission of sins or salvation, then Many man throughout history were heretics, all the way back to Jesus. John the baptist baptized in water for the remission of sins (Luke 2-3) Jesus baptized his Apostles in water for the forgiveness of their sins. (John 3:21-36) Paul was baptized for the remission of his sins (Acts 9:17-18) Paul teaches baptism (Romans 6 & Galatians 3:27-29) Peter taught baptism (Acts 2:38) Clement of Rome taught baptism for the remission of sins. Hermas teaches baptism for the remission of sins. Barnabas teaches baptism for the remission of sins. Origin teaches baptism for the remission of sins Tertullian teaches baptism for the remission of sins Clement of Alexandria teaches baptism for the remission of sins. Justin Martyr taught baptism for the remission of sins. Polycarp taught baptism for the remission of sins. Arnobius taught baptism for the remission of sins. Cyprian taught baptism for the remission of sins. Firmillian taught baptism for the remission of sins. The Seventh council of Carthage concluded that baptism is for the remission of sins. Victoranus taught that baptism is necessary for the remission of sins. Novatian taught that baptism is for the remission of sins. Iranaeus taught that baptism is necessary for the remission of sins. Ignatius taught that baptism is necessary for the remission of sins. Theophilus taught that baptism is necessary for the remission of sins. Council of Nicaea concluded that baptism is necessary for remission of sins. Shall I go on? Here we have practically every early church leader teaching that Baptism is necessary for the remission of sins and for salvation. These men considered baptism as the entry point, the doorway into Christ and they ALWAYS taught that it is accomplished in WATER. There were a few that taught that baptism is not necessary and not a part of salvation. These were Arius, Marcion and Manes of whom were at that time and remain held as heretics by every generation since. You are clearly in bed with the heretics. Do you care? Do the research yourself and you will see. DO you care that you teach heresy?

I had the honor of getting passed by Bob Hannah and Rex in a one-two punch on a Mammoth MX practice day in 95. I was 24, in the best shape of my life and having the ride day of my life on a YZ490. They were pushing 40. I was able to hold them off for two laps before Bob squirted by in a corner on his RM125 and pulled steadily away. About the time I realized I didn't have a prayer of catching him, Rocket Rex came thundering up out of nowhere and blew by me. I believe he was world four-stroke champ at the time. Getting smoked by old guys shouldn't be such a great memory but, it was and is haha!

Had similar expriences racing AHRMA MX ....amazing who showed up at those it was so awesome to be on the same track with the likes of Dick Mann Brad Lackey I think Jim Pomroy etc...who knew the old masters wanted the nostalgia of racing pre 1975 MX bikes just like the old mortals do!

@dougiequick1 That's awesome, man. The icing on the cake for me was earlier in 95 I was at a practice day in Marysville, hauling-ass, being a legend in my own mind when Lamson went by me on his 125 like I was going WFO backwards! No joke, I just pulled off and didn't even wanna ride anymore that day haha... He went on to be the 125 natty champ for the next two years and owned the MXDN.

Rocket Rex was so good world class good and the tuffer the conditions the tuffer rex got what a rider a legend then now forever 💞 rex was such a stallion I use to watch him at irwindale raceway on Friday nights back in the 70s he would. have won the 1975 U.S.G.P. if he had not broke engine mont on a 1974 247 lb 400 CZ Rex you use tell me how fast that CZ was faster than all the top notch factory bikes I don't know why they didn't put on alloy tank alloy swingarm and alloy rims that would have made it 15-20 lbs lighter and he would have won the 1975 U.S.G.P.@ Carlsbad !!
